The journey so far, from far to bar

When I started the EW Journey it was pretty much just preloved clothing and a few bits of homeware but as the appetite from our customers grew with us we expanded more into homewares and gifts and we continue to grow this part of the business.
Being situated in the beautiful seaside town of Worthing on Warwick Street which is full of bars and cafes with pavement seating I had lots of customers saying how wonderful it would be if we could offer them a glass of wine or cocktails whilst they were here trying on clothes are browsing our homeware and gifts and you could say it was a lightbulb moment and the journey into getting my personal and premises licence began. Being a ‘Lifestyle Store’ rather than a ‘Bar’ or ‘Café’ it was rather confusing for the Licensing Authorities who were not quite sure how to place us but I finally got there in the end and we are absolutely delighted to have another string to our bow.
We offer fabulous wines, beers, spirits and cocktails from 11am daily and are open till 9pm each Friday and Saturday and hoping to expand our hours even further in the next few months as well as offering small snack plates.
Owning your own business is an always expanding process and although its bloomin hard work at times I am passionate about creating the most interesting and eclectic space that I can and as the title of this blog says its been quite the journey from Far to Bar.
